John H. Donovan

Attorney at Law since 2011

Prior to entering private practice, John worked for the Flathead County Attorney’s Office as a deputy county attorney for 13 years. During his tenure as a county prosecutor, John tried over 40 criminal felony and misdemeanor trials. He has also interned for the United States Attorney’s Office in Missoula, prosecuting federal offenses, as well as for the firm of Lanning, Harris, and Conklin in Great Falls. While in Great Falls, he gained valuable experience in civil litigation and as a contract public defender. This extensive trial experience instilled in John the knowledge, willingness, and confidence to fight hard for his clients. Having worked as both a defense attorney and prosecutor, John is uniquely able to dissect a case and hone in on its strengths and weaknesses.

John graduated with honors from the University of Montana School of Law in 2011, and is licensed to practice law in both Montana and Connecticut. When he is not representing his clients, he enjoys getting outside with his beautiful family and old dog.
